The 51 Senate Republicans 218 House Republicans listed below cast the final “yea” votes for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), a 940 page omnibus that ballooned federal spending, padded agencies hostile to the Second Amendment, and shredded core conservative principles in the process.
The HPA and SHORT acts were removed by the Democrat appointed Senate Parliamentarian on the grounds they were not budgetary, despite the courts ruling multiple times that it is a TAX. The Senate refused to override her on this, but did on other measures.
For gun owners, OBBBA is a Trojan horse. It funnels new enforcement dollars to ATF, incentivizes “red flag” style state grants, and green lights permanent “temporary” rule making powers that will haunt firearm accessories for years. Rather than repealing prior infringements, it bankrolls them.
Fiscal hawks didn’t fare any better. Despite the catchy title, the bill stuffs nearly half a trillion in fresh spending behind rosy pay fors that never materialize, keeps expired COVID era carve outs alive, and creates three brand new bureaus. Bottom line: bigger government, bigger deficits, fewer individual liberties.
Scroll down for the full roll call, including Rep. Andrew Clyde, a self described 2A absolutist who nonetheless green lit the package.
