Evaluation Criteria
Quality & Reliability
Lee Precision is renowned for providing cost-effective reloading solutions. Their equipment, while budget-friendly, often requires a bit of fine-tuning:
Pro 6000: A newer addition, the Pro 6000 has garnered positive feedback for its efficiency in bulk reloading, especially for calibers like 9mm and .38 Special. Users appreciate its speed and consistency, though initial setup may require patience.
Classic Turret Press Kit: Praised for its affordability and efficiency, this kit allows users to reload over 250 rounds per hour. It includes the Pro Auto-Drum powder measure and a 4-hole turret, making caliber changes straightforward. However, some users find the included balance beam scale less user-friendly, opting for digital alternatives.

- Responsive Support: Customers have shared experiences of prompt replacements for defective parts, often at no additional cost.
- Community Engagement: Lee’s presence in online forums and communities reflects their commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
- Warranty: Lee Precision generally warranties their presses for 1 year, as opposed to a lifetime warranty from some of their competators.
Value for Money
Lee Precision stands out for delivering functional reloading equipment at accessible prices:
- Affordability: Their products are often more budget-friendly compared to competitors, making them an attractive option for newcomers to reloading.
- Comprehensive Kits: Lee offers kits like the Anniversary Challenger Kit II, which provide most of the necessary tools to start reloading, though some components like shell holders may need to be purchased separately.
- 2-Year Unconditional Warranty: Lee reloading products are guaranteed not to wear out or break from normal use for two full years. If they do, Lee will repair or replace them at no charge when returned to the factory with a copy of the receipt.

If the product is no longer manufactured, Lee offers a direct replacement under the same terms.
Shipping
For domestic orders, Lee Precision applies a $7.50 packaging and processing fee in addition to the actual shipping cost via USPS or UPS. Orders over $50 shipped via USPS incur a $2.35 Signature Delivery Confirmation fee. Delivery times range from 7 to 14 business days, depending on the chosen shipping method.
International customers face a $20.00 handling fee plus actual shipping rates. For Canadian orders, the handling fee is $11.00. Lee recommends international customers consider purchasing through local distributors to potentially reduce costs.

Reviewer Notes
As a reloader, I generally prefer to have mulitple presses, each set up for a particular caliber rather than switching over a single press. As such I have a lot of Lee equpment as their price point makes this much more budget friendly than other brands to. On the rare occasion where I’ve needed to interact with their customer service I have found it to be excellent with regards to product issues, so-so with regards to general reloading questions.

User Feedback Highlights
- “They are great to deal with. I messed up the sizing mandrel in a collet die turning it down a while back. Their response was ‘yeah that happens we’ll send you another’.” gulfcoastgunforum.com
- “Just wanted to tell a quick tale… I called up customer service, they simply said send back the broken part, and we’ll replace it. By the time I got around to getting it into the mail… I opened the box, to find 2 replacement parts, with of course reassembly instructions, and a note telling me what causes the part to fail in the first place.” northeastshooters.com
- “Come on, Lee. Get some decent quality control going over there, or take the word ‘Precision’ out of your name.” yelp
